walmart? aldi?
cheap ones dont work.

if i were you i'd invest in a chi straightener. it'll work a lot better and last a heck of a lot longer
my first one was a hot tools straightner from folica.com. It was 15 dollars, but a great first hot iron! later on I got a better one, but I would reccamend the cheap one to anyone who's looking for a good price =]
i was on the same mission as you were about 3 months back. i tried a few different straighteners and i actually ended up returning them because they either broke, or the paint smeared, or it sucked, etc. the one i've had for about 5 years was a Conair one and i thought it was about time to buy a new one. but after trying different kinds of straighteners, i still went back to Conair and got the breast cancer foundation one. it's so freaking good. you do NOT need to pay as much as you would pay for a chi, both are really good it's just you're a smarter shopper if you buy the conair. i especially love the soft-rubbery feeling of it :D
Wet to Straight. Its at walmart it was my 1st and it works pretty good. idk if its under $35 bucks
