I have to agree with the first answer. Try to find a Chi. They are the best. Trust me, I've been through about 20 flat irons and I have very unruly hair.Best Hair Iron...................?

The Chi! I have that one, and it heats up instantly. No waiting and its ceramic =) A bit pricey, but im sure you can get on cheap on ebay or something.
GHDs are the best!!!
