I have naturally curly hair, what is a flat iron that really works well but isant 200+ $$??What is the best flat iron(for hair)?
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.
In terms of performance:
The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands
Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,
Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss
Worst: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

I suggest just getting a perm. Otherwide, you're gonna fry your hair with all that heat.

Farouk CHI 1 Inch Ceramic Flat Hairstyling Iron
From CHI
Buy new: $84.29
Product Description
Chi Original 1'; Farouk CHI Ceramic Flat Iron Model GF-1001 The CHI can be considered
one of the most versatile Hairstyling Irons on the market today. The CHI's ergonomic
design allows the user to flip hair up or curl it under with a twist of the wrist.
The CHI is ideal for straightening and smoothing the hair while the ceramic plates seal
in natural moisture. It's great to use prior to a Dry Haircut. The ceramic coated paddles
help prevent scorching hair color and helps reduce styling product build-up. Featuring an
extra long swivel cord to prevent tangling, the CHI has a concealed on-off switch inside
the handle to prevent accidentally turning the unit off when in use. The heat paddles are
recessed from the edges to prevent skin burns. Will automatically heat up in less than 10
seconds. Temperature is preset at 150-180 degrees Celsius(302-356 degrees Fahrenheit)

I don't recommend CHI if you're not going to use a heat protector or if you don't have really thick hair. Sedu and Solia are one of the highest ranks. Sedu goes up to about 400 degrees, but Solia goes up to 450 degrees. Neither are damaging. I got my Solia for around $80, and Sedu is about $100 and maybe a little more
chi
The Chi. It's only about $100-150 and it's TOTALLY worth it.
OMG!!! i have the perfect flat iron for u!!!!!! i have the same type of hair as u and got a CORIOLISS flat iron for $100!!!!! Get a corioliss it works so so so so so so so well!!!!
you need a chi flat iron. its ceramic plates. also the heat is important. sometimes people use flat irons that the temp. is not high enough for curly hair...chi irons go to about 450 degrees. the chi is perfect. im a hairstylist and its the best one i have ever used on my curly haired clients!!
