If i have a ceramic straightener...?

will it damage my hair? should i use heat protection serum or something before i straighten it? i have the remington wet2straightIf i have a ceramic straightener...?
There isn't much we can do that doesn't damage hair to some extent. As long as you are using a good protective conditioner ( i prefer aussie moist) and not holding the iron on your hair any longer than you have to- you will minimize damage. Serum is awesome and wont' destroy your hair. I use a little before and after straightening. Hope this helps =)If i have a ceramic straightener...?
yessss! definetely heat protection serum.
Any straightener will damage your hair, and you should use protecting serum. Or at least condition properly. By the way, I've used that straightener, and it sucks HARD if you have thick hair. It doesn't even get as hot as it says it does...
deffinetly use heat protection!!!!!!!!!
Yeah.

All hair straightening damages your hair.

I tried wet2straight and it made my hair harder to straighten.
well if its wet to straight you will be okay...but always better to be on the safe side....you can put some heat protection in the hair when its damp...its better to be careful then to lose hair or damage your hair***just make sure you only flat iron the hair when its slightly damp and never wet
I feel that ceramic straighteners are better than others. I love the Chi Iron. I suggest using something like Farouk Systems Silk Therapy on your hair before you use your iron. I like the Silk Therapy because it has silk proteins that actually help repair AND protect your hair from heat. Most other products I've tried aren't quite as good. Some drugstores and beauty supplies have generic forms of Silk Therapy, but I really like the original. I would rather spend a little more on it and make sure it really works than spend less and have a product that doesn't work as well. Please make sure that you don't straighten your hair when it's wet. I don't like the wet2straight irons because they suggest that it's okay to straighten hair while damp. All they do is dehydrate your hair. Your iron will be fine as long as you don't use it on wet hair. You can straighten damp hair with a Chi Iron, but I'm not sure about your iron. Damp hair is better to straighten than wet hair anyway. There are a lot of flat iron protection sprays and serums for hair. I have tried so many things that my whole house is filled with products! Silk Therapy works the best for many people. My clients love it. This site was one of the best prices I found for the Silk Therapy. http://www.i-medica.com/Merchant2/mercha/a> Hope this helps
