Does anyone have any ideas how to get the hairspray off of the straighteners (it really is making them smell bad - so bad I am thinking of going out and buying a new pair even though these cost me 拢100 and I've only had them three months) or atleast take the odour away?!Ceramic straightener plates have burnt hairspray stuck on them - it's making them SMELL AWFUL?
Cotton cloth (old tea towel), cooled straighteners...wipe.

Clean them with a damp paper towel when the iron is not on.

wen the straighteners are on wipe them wiv a damp cloth it will work
