My VIDAL SASSOON CERAMIC STRAIGHTENER isn't getting hot anymore!?

I've had my VIDAL SASSOON CERAMIC STRAIGHTENER close to a year. I got my hair colored and cut a few weeks ago, so I started using my straightener more often.

It's been working fine until a few days ago. I'll plug it up and turn it on and I also make sure the temp is up as well and it doesn't get hot at all!

I've tried different outlets, but only one of the plates gets hot and the other one is cold.

Has anyone had this problem? My VIDAL SASSOON CERAMIC STRAIGHTENER isn't getting hot anymore!?
maybe you should just get a new one.

I got a conair one from Target for about $15 %26amp; it works really well. it heats up really really hot in about a minute.

It's used up and broken. Sometimes when you use it a lot, it just automaticly stops working and it also depends how thick your hair is.

Go back to the place where you bought it and ask them if you can return it and get another one because It wasn't heating up.
I had a Vidal Sassoon ceramic straightener, and it seriously was the worst hair product I've ever used. It took a while to get hot and it totally fried my hair. Throw it away and get a GHD.
If you use your straighteners a lot they don't last as long as they're intended to. I think if you rely on straighteners you really ought to buy a new straightener every year. It will work more efficiently and is better for your hair as the products you use before hand build up on the surface- which wears away anyway.

You could try cleaning your straighteners (make sure theyre unplugged) with a damp towel every month or so which might make them last longer.
