Ceramic Straighteners?

I'm having a tough time deciding on a good ceramic straightener. The Remington Tstudio Teflon Fiber Ceramic Straightener is available at a store near me and is in my price range. - http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5855130

Then, there is the Sedu line of straighteners. - http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Flat__360_1.html

They sound to be the most effective and reliable ceramic straighteners so far. But, they're out of my price range by ALOT. I'm thinking about getting a cheaper ceramic just for now, and saving up for a Sedu. Does anyone else have any suggestions or recommendations on any other ceramic straighteners that won't damage my hair and leave it smooth and straight? Thanks.Ceramic Straighteners?
I have bought the cheap ones and they don't even work close to the expensive ones. Splurge on the more expensive one. I bought mine from Folica 4 years ago for 150 and it still works great. i have super thick wavy hair also. When you do buy the straighter, get the straightning spray to protect your hair at a beauty supply store. It is like the silk oil but in a spray and you spray it on before you straighten your hair.
