What are the differences between a ceramic straightener and a metal steel straightener?

People keep saying that the ceramic straightener is healthier for the hair. But WHY is it better? Does anyone know? Please explain in details. Thanks! What are the differences between a ceramic straightener and a metal steel straightener?
because metal steel hair straighteners heat metal, and they get 2 hot and is more likely to burn hair. ceramic heats ceramic and it like impossible to burn ur hair with that, it just uses ceramic to smooth and straighten ur hair for a nice shiny, smoot, striaght, great look

if u r looking for a hair straighten DONT get a metal one, even tho they r cheaper, they just waste money. get the ceramic, trust me it works soooo much better and wont burn hair! What are the differences between a ceramic straightener and a metal steel straightener?
i dont know
ceramics beter but i dunno why
i am astylist and all i will say is to invest in a chia straightener
from what i know the metal burns your head
Well, the ceramic ones are better...
i have no idea what is healthier, or really even care whats healthier, but cereamic straighteners usually work faster i think its because they have a higher heat index %26amp;%26amp; so many settings for different hairstlyes
ceramic wont pull your hair like the steel! the hair gets caught in the steel and it pulls it out or breaks the ends off damaging your hair. ceramic wont do that to your hair. it slides right over your hair and doesnt pull.
Ceramic is MUCH better. Thhe other kinds don't really work except to make your hair all stciking around and it dosen't hold, and they don't get as hot. Invest in a good ceramic kind. Belive me it's worth it.
My metal one pulled my hair and never seemed to really straighten my hair. When I invested in a ceramic straighter I noticed an immediate difference in performance. It didn't put my hair, my hair - which is naturally wavy -- was completely straight. I love my ceramic straightener. However, mine was over the counter. The ones the beauticians use are soooo much better. If you can save for one of those more expenisive ones it is definately worth it.
